A wedding in the morimont, France

Sara and Odin’s wedding was the kind of celebration that felt less like a traditional wedding and more like the best party you’ve ever been invited to.

They wanted a day that felt completely like them: colourful, playful, outdoorsy and a little bit chaotic.

They gathered around 80 of their favourite people at Morimont, surrounded by forests and wild landscapes. The day unfolded naturally, from a ceremony tucked away in the woods to drinks and games in the meadow, live music, incredible food and a dinner in the barn that eventually turned into a dance floor. Rather than planning every minute, Sara and Odin left plenty of room for their friends and family to make the day their own — with unexpected speeches, games, surprise performances and even a song written especially for them.

Nothing felt overly polished or staged, and that’s exactly what made it so beautiful.

For me, it was the perfect reminder of why I love photographing weddings the way I do: staying close to the real moments, letting things unfold, and looking for all the little in-between pieces that you might otherwise miss. Because a wedding doesn’t have to look like a wedding. It just has to look like you.
